Streetside Shop

Stopped over at a streetside shop for some lentil fritters and tea…near Payyalur, foothills of the Ghats in central Kerala

Murukkus, anyone?

A popular tea-time snack, the murukku — also called chakli in north India — is made of rice flour and spices. There are many different kinds of murukkus, some spicier than the rest. There are round, long and broken murukkus, and there are white, brown and red murukkus — truly a snack as diverse as its people!
